So moving across the country has been difficult, to say the least. This week, I put feelers out through the Columbus chapter of the Rising Tide Society (which if you’re a creative entrepreneur, you HAVE to check it out) to see if I could talk anyone into modeling for me, as I’ve spent the majority of the summer networking, rather than shooting.
Enter Hannah and her husband Sam.
They agreed to meet me, and fellow photographer Joslyn Crowl (check out her work here, she is AMAZING) out at Alum Creek State Park for an impromptu session.
Hannah and Sam are two of the nicest, sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and they were a dream to work with. They put up with us posing them standing in the water, which progressed to Sam stretching out fully in the shallows, and did so with such ease, and with good humor, and with big smiles throughout.
Watching the two of them interact, and the way that they both looked at each other, you could see how much they love each other. The late summer evening light was PERFECT, and I can’t wait to get them back in front of my camera again.
These are gorgeous!! Is this spot closer to Columbus or to Portland? Were you their wedding photographer or did you just luck out and find a gorgeous couple? Great session =D
This is here on the North side of Columbus, and I got super lucky that Hannah and Sam were willing to model for me! She and I met through the Columbus chapter of the Rising Tide Society.
Love Kate!!! ?Would love to work with you again soon!
Yes please!
Such a sweet session! Portland is such a beautiful place — wedding photographer’s dream!
BEAUTIFUL!!! I want you to be my wedding photographer! Our wedding will be in Portland in 2017!
These are gorgeous! So you travel to both Columbus AND Portland? You’re an amazing photographer. I’d love to recommend you to my friends. They’re searching for a wedding photographer right now and live in Ohio.
Thanks! I live in Columbus, but work in Portland as well. (YAAAAY airline miles!) I’d love to sit down and chat with your friends!
